Eddie Hearn gives harsh assessment of Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury and why a rematch shouldn't happen
Eddie Hearn has given a frank assessment of Jake Paul’s defeat to Tommy Fury and offered him advise as to what he should do next.Skill Challenge EntertainmentFury beat Paul by split decision, proving Hearn correct in previous comments he’d made branding the American’s ability level as ‘average’.ongoing between the pair with Hearn suing Paul over comments made in an interview last year in which he accused him of paying judges.
Hearn told the DAZN Boxing Show: “Obviously we’ve had our differences, but I do respect Jake Paul and I respect him even more after last night.“When we throw back to when I said, ‘He’s an average professional fighter,’ that was a compliment.Hearn promotes big names in boxing such as Canelo Alvarez and Anthony Joshua“He closes his eyes when he throws punches and he turns his back, he does a lot of amateur things, but he’s a guy who found boxing at like 24.
“He’s got a decent jab, he’s tough, he took a few shots last night, but he’s just not very good, neither of them are.”“But then you get criticised when you give your opinion to say, ‘He’s not very good.’
