EXCLUSIVE EastEnders star Sam Womack says telling kids cancer news was 'hardest thing'
Samantha Womack bravely announced she had been diagnosed with breast cancer back in August - and in a new interview tells OK! the fantastic news that she's now cancer-free!
“I’d had the ultrasound and Lily spoke to me and she said, ‘Oh, you look strange.’ And for a moment I was like, ‘Do I tell her? Do I not tell her?’ And then I thought I’ll wait until I get the biopsy results back."That’s one of the hardest things. My need at that moment was to just make them feel as positive as possible and to say, ‘We are not anywhere near where your head’s going. We all know what it can look like, but we’re not there yet. And until we’re there we don’t have to react.
“Mark and I are lucky in that respect, that we both reached the same place at the same time so that we were able to stay friendly and talk about each other’s future relationships or dating. Sam is now having treatment to prevent the cancer from returning and looking to the future. She says she would love to open a retreat to help others going through cancer.
