The Philadelphia Eagles handled the Minnesota Vikings in a 34-28 “Thursday Night Football” victory at Lincoln Financial Field in Week 2. Here’s what you need to know:
After trailing 7-3 early in the second quarter, Jalen Hurts and the Eagles rattled off 24 straight points to take control of the game. Vikings QB Kirk Cousins got Minnesota back within a score late in the fourth, but Eagles RB D’Andre Swift helped ice the game with a 2-yard rushing touchdown on Philadelphia’s next drive.
Swift had a career-high 175 rushing yards, while Hurts accounted for three touchdowns with one interception. Minnesota star WR Justin Jefferson logged a team-high 159 receiving yards but had a costly fumble in the end zone late in the first half that resulted in a touchback. The Vikings had four turnovers in the game, all fumbles.
