While these numbers are sure to make any NFL official rub their hands together in delight, it’s caused more than a few hairs to turn gray on the fan side of things:the average ticket price for a football game has steadily increased over the past 15 years, hitting as high as $107.50 a pop. “The NFL has been almost untouchable through broader economic forces, like inflation, wars, challenged elections, recessions and COVID,” tells Charles Baker—co-chair of law firm Sidley Austin’s entertainment, sports, and media group—to Sportico. ‘The league is a juggernaut, and I see more upside growth ahead.”
