DuPage County Republican Party Chairman James Zay said he expects to name a new candidate in the 41st District House race next week to replace Naperville City Councilwoman Jennifer Bruzan Taylor, who announced she was withdrawing.
DuPage County Republican Party Chairman James Zay said a new candidate to replace Naperville City Councilwoman Jennifer Bruzan Taylor on the ballot for the 41st District House seat should be named next week.
Zay said he’s known about the Bruzan Taylor’s decision for a couple of weeks and a half dozen people have reached out to him about the position.Illinois House Minority leader Jim Durkin, R-Western Springs, has been assisting with interviews, Zay said. Bruzan Taylor said she remains committed to her council position and the responsibilities associated with that. She was elected to the council in April 2021.
