Dungeons & Dragons finally addresses its new Open Gaming LicenseThe company admits to having ‘rolled a 1’ and asks the community for a ‘chance to make this right.’The company claims that a version of the license that leaked last week was a draft and that controversial restrictions in it will not be present in the final release.
The Open Gaming License is a public copyright license that outlines how fans and third-party publishers are permitted to make and monetize their owncontent.
“Our drafts included royalty language designed to apply to large corporations attempting to use OGL content. It was never our intent to impact the vast majority of the community.”
