Six-year-old Jensen Mirren grew out his flowing locks to have the same hair style as his granny, but decided to make the statement in order to see his hair turned into a wig for the Little Princess Trust charity.
A Dumbarton youngster had his first trim in more than three years - all to support a charity which helps children going through cancer.
Jensen’s dad Chris said ahead of the cut: “I think the decision to cut it comes out of realising that most of the boys around him don’t have long hair – although it’s not a peer pressure thing – and also the hair was getting so long that it was making some of the activities and clubs he does more difficult.
