He offended across Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire
A 31-year-old drug addict went on a spree of crack cocaine-fuelled criminality across Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire during which he:Nottingham Crown Court heard how during the spiral of offending, Kyle O’Connor caused thousands of pounds of damage and left victims counting the cost as he relentlessly carried on breaking the law to pay off debts he and his partner had accrued through their addictions.
“Some of the offences are particularly serious, all of the driving offences are especially bad.” Adam Pearson, prosecuting, said the first set of offences took place in the Lincolnshire village of Sudbrook in the early hours of August 20, last year. “A drug swipe revealed he was over the limit for cocaine and he also had no licence and no insurance.” Mr Pearson said while on bail for that matter, the defendant stole meat from the Co-op in Churchill Drive, Newark, on October 18 and two days later kicked a hole in the roof of the One Stop in Bowbridge Road, in the town, and took the sweets and energy drinks.
Finally, on December 22, O’Connor tried to ram-raid two businesses in Newark and again while attempting to escape, deliberately driving at a police vehicle.
