Three tragic deaths caused by a single reckless driver 💔
A Norfolk man who took a cocktail of drugs and killed three people from a Lincolnshire family in a head-on collision has been jailed for 10-and-a-half years.
Paul Carter, 41, his wife Lisa, 49, and her daughter Jade Mace, 25, residents of Gedney near Spalding, were in the car at the time.Forensic collision investigators discovered the speedometer stuck at 96mph. Cielevicius had attempted to overtake another vehicle, failed to reposition his car correctly, and collided with the Vauxhall Mokka.Aurelijus Cielevicius was jailed for more than a decade.
The officer tried unsuccessfully to clock the vehicle’s speed using a laser device and followed the BMW, but it vanished from sight. Cielevicius was arrested at 1.29am on Monday, January 16, 2023 for causing death by dangerous driving. She told the court: “For me there is no future – Mum, Paul and Jade were my whole world – they were the glue that held us all together.
