Drivers may be eligible for the badge which helps you park closer to your destination
The badge is designed to help people with disabilities or certain health conditions park closer to their destination, making it easier for them to get around.
If you have any score other than 10 points under descriptor E, in the ‘planning and following journeys’ activity of PIP you may still be eligible for a Blue Badge, but you do not automatically qualify, the government adds. In this case, you will have to provide evidence to prove your eligibility which will be assessed when you apply.
It is down to your local council to decide if you are eligible for a Blue Badge and the assessment process cannot start until all the necessary evidence has been submitted as part of your application.
