The DVLA must be kept informed of over 100 health conditions that could affect your driving.
Aside from following the rules of the road, drivers with certain medical conditions are obligated to inform the DVLA and their insurance provider.
As reported by the Mirror, Quotezone founder Greg Wilson urged drivers that the risk is too big not to check out. The DVLA has a list of over a 100 conditions which could impair or impact driving ability. Some must be reported to the DVLA and others could legally stop people from driving. 2. Sleep apnoea Sleep apnoea is a condition in which your breathing stops and starts while you sleep. It can make you tired during the day which poses a risk on the road. Any illness known to result in bouts of drowsiness need to be declared to the DVLA.
5. Stroke People who experience a stroke can't drive for one month afterwards, but it doesn't mean the end of driving forever though. Those with a car or motorcycle licence only need to tell DVLA if you're still having problems after that period.
