Two people were killed when a car ran off I-295 in Salem County and hit a tree, according to a New Jersey State Police spokesman.
Maicon J. Veletanga-Sandoval, 19, of Westville, was driving south on the highway in Oldmans Township around 2:30 a.m. on May 28 when the car ran off the road to the right around milepost 5.5 and struck a tree, police said. Veletanga-Sandoval and a passenger, Norma J. Estrada, 30, of Deptford Township, died of their injuries.Veletanga-Sandoval was a 2021 Kingsway Regional High School graduate and was remembered for his athletic prowess, “infectious smile” and ability to connect with others,
