Here’s what Draymond Green had to say Sunday at Warriors media day.
SAN FRANCISCO — If Draymond Green accomplishes what he sets out to do this season, the 32-year-old knows the money will follow.
Green is entering the final year of his current contract, though he has a player option, worth $27.6 million for the 2023-24 campaign. That means this could potentially be his last season with the Warriors. As more and more white hairs appear in Green’s beard, he knows his playing clock is ticking, meaning this could potentially be his last major deal. But Green said he knows what he’s worth and ready to prove it this season. That determination will only benefit the Warriors and bolster their chances at winning another title.
“My goal was just to find out the facts first before speaking out. And that took me a few days of reading and watching and listening to different people, different thoughts, and then to not be unfair to anyone.
