Channel 4's latest series of Emergency returns as camera crews follow ambulance response teams, doctors, nurses and other medical staff saving lives on a daily basis

Fast-paced, adrenalin-pumping docuseries that shine the “blue light” on our 999 services have never been more popular. And Emergency, which is filmed in London, is back to capture all the drama as it follows the stories of seriously injured patients and the people – consultants, ambulance response teams, doctors, nurses and therapists – helping to save their lives.

Paiwand grew up in Iraq and escaped during Saddam Hussein’s regime. “He was a very dangerous man,” he says to camera.
