The director of an animal welfare organization in Lebanon says his group is sheltering two baby lions after law enforcement stopped a vehicle packed full of birds and the cubs. The group will care for the pair for now, with hopes of eventually finding them a home in a sanctuary.
STAFF REPORT A two-vehicle crash in Dothan on Monday claimed the life of a city man, according to police.

Upon arrival, officers determined the driver of the motorcycle, Scott Baxter, 52, of Dothan, had sustained critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials said the occupant in the SUV sustained minor injuries.
It is currently unknown what caused the crash as the Dothan Police Department’s traffic division is investigating.
