Al menos dos personas armadas murieron por disparos de las fuerzas de Estados Unidos en el Aeropuerto Internacional Hamid Karzai de Kabul, anunció este lunes el portavoz del Pentágono, John Kirby.

Estos dos sucesos se produjeron en medios del caos desatado en el aeropuerto de la capital afgana cuando cientos de civiles intentaron huir a la desesperada intentando encaramarse a los aviones, después de que Kabul cayera el domingo en manos de los talibanes.

Según el Pentágono, las fuerzas de EE.UU. en Kabul trabajan ahora en “restablecer la seguridad” ante las “brechas” en la parte civil del aeropuerto de la capital.Actualmente hay 2.500 uniformados estadounidenses en ese aeropuerto y otros 500 llegarán en las próximas horas.
