Khan said the facility’s security footage showed a man scoping out the building on Sunday, as well as what he thinks is his car parked outside.Khan added that this theft is part of a string of such crimes at mosques and other places of worship across the U.S. In July 2021, a burglar stole $4,000 to $6,000 in donations from the Islamic Society of Denton, said Mohamed Fouad, the mosque’s imam.
