Donald Trump, on Fox News, mocks 'New Green Deal' as 'ridiculous'

But when asked about it, Trump explained that he doesn’t want to do that anymore — but only so his political opponents keep pushing it, to his favor. “Well, I don’t want to talk badly about the New Green Deal,,” Trump said, “because, frankly, I’m afraid they’ll stop using it. Because I really do want to campaign against it.”

And though Trump told Hannity he didn’t want to say anything bad about the Green New Deal, that didn’t stop him from saying something bad about it. “It’ll cost $100 trillion, nobody knows what that means,” Trump claimed. “That means it’s more money than you have in the world, and it’ll be catastrophic.”

It should be noted that what the Green New Deal would actually cost is up for debate. Even a right-wing think tank
