“I thought this was going to be an intimate dinner,” laughed a guest during the cocktail hour of Document Journal. “I almost brought a pie!” Yes, it might have been a Friendsgiving, but this is still a fashion world party after all, and by those standards the 50-ish guests that tucked into the Public Hotel’s rooftop was still intimate.
During the cocktail hour, who was cooking what—and where and when—for Thanksgiving was a chief topic of conversation, with models trading vegan pie recipes while others admitting plans to just show up at a friend’s place with a bottle of wine in tow. Thankfully for all, Public did the cooking last night, offering up a wintery feast of roasted vegetables and endless wine pours to get the crowd sated and prepped for a night on the dance floor.
