Dr Surya Dhulipala has admitted that her mistakes in caring for Finnley Morris at Blackpool Victoria Hospital 'should never happen again'
The doctor whose failings led to the death of a newborn baby boy has said she is "deeply, deeply sorry".
By the time Finnley finally began to receive oxygen it was more than 50 minutes after he had been born. He was transferred to the Royal Preston Hospital but sadly died four days later on October 5. The hearing resumed on Tuesday with Dr Dhulipala, who no longer works at Blackpool Victoria Hospital, giving evidence. The doctor, who is currently training to become a consultant, cried as she admitted that her failings "should never be allowed to happen again".
