Safer Roads Canada, formed after the Broncos bus crash, has come out with videos emphasizing the need for quality driver training.

Carol thumbs through her basketball jerseys in a closet, points out her Hoopla medal.
Carol says it’s been “frustrating” to try to effect change; transportation is federally regulated but a provincial responsibility, and governments move slowly.“This is a little quicker way to make an impact, and reach the people who need extra reminders — new drivers especially, but they’re meant for any level of drivers or pedestrians.”Article content
“Our situation with the Humboldt Broncos … they don’t want to have a similar incident. There’s a little bit more tendency to listen to us when it comes to asking if they’re able to work with us. And we’re pretty happy with the way it turned out.”
