Bob Iger earns more than 1,400 times the average Disney worker, and BernieSanders has thoughts
“Avengers: Endgame” is coming off a record-smashing opening weekend, ringing up $350 million in ticket sales domestically and $1.2 billion globally.
‘What would be truly heroic is if Disney used its profits from ‘Avengers’ to pay all of its workers a middle class wage, instead of paying its CEO Bob Iger $65.6 million — over 1,400 times as much as the average worker at Disney makes.’ His words echo that of Abigail Disney, the granddaughter of Roy Disney. Earlier this month, she called Iger’s compensation “insane” and said the company has no excuse for not significantly increasing worker wage.
She explained to Fast Company that Iger could have given a 15% raise to everyone at Disneyland and still walked away with $10 million.
