A "disjointed" Nottinghamshire green space is set to be turned into new homes. A plot of green space bordered by Oakfield Lane and Sherwood Street in Warsop could be turned into 36 homes, if Mansfield District Council's planning committee follows advice to approve the scheme on Monday, October 23.
The council had agreed the developer's contribution could be reduced to make the project possible, as they needed to pay a £55,000 payment to the previous landowner Nottinghamshire County Council. An arbitration process then decided the payment would be raised significantly to £302,500, with a Mansfield District Council report concluding the developers would only be able to afford a reduced set of financial contributions towards infrastructure as a result.
