The waitress who benefitted from the act of generosity said she's 'been so stressed out with Christmas' while living 'paycheck to paycheck.'
In the spirit of the holiday season or just a well-timed act of kindness, one group of diners gave a Georgia waitress the surprise of a lifetime this weekend. As local outlet WMAZ reports, eight diners left Daryl Collett, a server at seafood restaurant Ole' Chobys in Milledgeville, Ga., a $1,000 tip on Friday night.
"Thank you to the table of people who made this possible, we wish you a very Merry Christmas," the post reads."I was shocked and happy and like, 'I'm so emotional.' I started crying," she told the outlet."I live paycheck to paycheck … I've been so stressed out with Christmas and knowing that my paycheck is going to be short, so this was a huge blessing.
