The winning Powerball lottery numbers are drawn Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2023, at 10:59 p.m. The Powerball jackpot drawing today (9/27/2023) is worth an estimated $850 million for a single winner.
If someone wins Wednesday’s drawing, it would be the fourth largest Powerball prize and the ninth biggest in U.S. lottery history.
While no one across the country hit Monday’s $794 million jackpot, four $1 million tickets were sold — three in Florida and one in Oregon. Each second-prize ticket matched five numbers but not the Powerball.Three third-prize tickets were bought for the main drawing. A fourth was sold for the secondary Double Play drawing.
The $50,000 ticket for the Double Play drawing was bought at ShopRite on Davenport Street in Somerville. All the third-prize tickets matched four numbers plus the Powerball.
