This is just a very good wardrobe staple.

In fact, I didn't quite realize how much I relied on it until I accidentally got some food on it and it ended up in my pile of clothes that I will hopefully one day take to the dry cleaners.
A cropped, slightly loose cardigan in a neutral color is just the ultimate no-brainer item to either wear on its own on a chilly day or carry around with you for frigid offices or when the temperatures dip in the evening as they tend to do in Los Angeles. They seem to work with any rise of pant or length of dress.
That's why I don't feel too guilty purchasing another one — specifically this alpaca guy from Everlane. Highlights here for me are the crew neckline, the chunky texture and the oversized buttons.
