Deputies are searching for a man accused of setting fire to a home where his estranged wife was staying and then attacking her.
The Harris County District Attorney’s Office has accepted arson, aggravated assault and violation of protective order charges against Pablo Patino, 28, in connection with an early Tuesday morning fire in northwest Harris County, according to officials with the fire marshal’s office.Investigators with the fire marshal’s office responded before 6 a.m. to a report of a fire in the 11400 block of Mortimer Drive after determining that someone had intentionally set a fire, officials said.
Investigators believe a man set the fire around 3:30 a.m. at their family home because his wife, with whom he was separated, was staying there, officials said. The man stayed in his vehicle and hit his wife when she ran out of the home. The man then fled the scene.
