The federal government is suing Norfolk Southern following a February train derailment that led to environmental concerns and evacuations of a rural Ohio town near the Pennsylvania border.

Norfolk Southern operates a freight railroad of over 35,000 miles of track in 22 states, the suit says,"transporting all manner of materials and goods, including coal, intermodal containers, agricultural products, chemicals, metals, and automotive products."
