Colorado’s capital is expected to see mostly sunny weather with potential thunderstorms, reaching a high near 64, reports the National Weather Service in Boulder. The chance of rain sits at 40%, particularly after 3 p.m., and wind gusts can reach up to 18 mph.Colorado isn’t alone in getting rain this evening. The National Weather Service forecasts severe thunderstorms and heavy rain across some of the northern Plains and upper Mississippi Valley overnight.
Northeast and north central Colorado can also anticipate a hazardous weather outlook, with a winter weather advisory issued for those areas from 3 p.m. through tomorrow morning. Spring showers will continue into Wednesday, with a 100% chance of precipitation. Temperatures will cool slightly with a high near 57.
