Joe Biden hopes the strong support he received from black voters in South Carolina will translate to similar strength on Super Tuesday
WASHINGTON—Joe Biden tried to leverage his massive victory in this weekend’s South Carolina primary with time running short before a coast-to-coast wave of primaries in 14 states on Tuesday.
South Carolina’s landslide outcome gave Mr. Biden a much-needed boost and left several candidates struggling to find rationales to continue their candidacies. Billionaire Tom Steyer exited the race late Saturday, after spending more than $250 million of his fortune on his bid.
