COLUMBIA, S.C.—Virtually every Democratic presidential candidate came here Saturday to address a leading pro-abortion rights organization, pledging support for federal funding, even as the public remains divided on the issue.
Front-runner Joe Biden used the event to reiterate his recent high-profile reversal on abortion funding, uniting the party around a stance that Republicans say puts Democrats in danger of losing the 2020 general election.
