A food delivery app announced today that it is looking to hire 200 contract drivers in the Birmingham area. ASAP, the food delivery app formerly known as Waitr, said the jobs are being created to satisfy delivery demand. ASAP.com operates in about 1,000 cities throughout the nation and is now employing a “deliver anything ASAP” model, which includes food, convenience items, flowers, auto parts and other products.“We know the ability to work when and as much as you want, demand permitting, is often essential to the work-life balance,” Bonnie Garrett, head of driver operations for ASAP, said.
