It's brought the village together
Nottinghamshire residents are "delighted" at the success of a village pub that re-opened after being closed for almost a decade. The Fox at Kirton re-opened in March 2022 after being closed for more than eight years.
Dave said: "There's not anything else really in Kirton, there's not a shop or post office or anything like that. Apart from the church there's nothing really else for people to come together in. Gala said: "We've not been that many times, but we are really pleased it opened as there is nowhere in the village that people can meet. They respond to suggestions so the are evolving.
A Kirton resident who did not wish to be named said: "We bought our house before it was open, we moved to the village in the hopes they were opening. A pub in the village is central hub and we wanted a village with a hub.
