Declan Donnelly's older brother has died after falling seriously ill. The much-loved TV presenter rushed to be by his brother Father Dermott's side after he fell ill.
Earlier today it was reported that Dec's brother was in hospital with a serious illness. The news was revealed as prayers were being held for him by the Catholic community and Pontop Partnership, a partnership of ten Catholic parishes in the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle, took to Facebook to release a statement on the sad news.
"Please be respectful to Father Dermott and his family at this difficult time, we will update you as and when we receive the most up to date information verified by the Diocese."
