Police have opened a homicide investigation after dismembered human remains were discovered in Los Angeles’ Griffith Park.
Police say they also found an encampment in the area and that it was possible that there was no foul play involved. An officer speculated that a homeless person may have died and been dismembered by an animal. Officers said they were investigating at two different scenes, one where the body was discovered and one where the head was discovered, and that recent rains had impacted their search for evidence.
