At least 94 people have been killed in clashes between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan this week as the Central Asian neighbours remain embroiled in the worst violence in years
Clashes regularly erupt between the two former Soviet republics, as around half of their 970-kilometre border is still to be demarcated.
The situation on the contested border between the two Central Asian neighbours was, however, calm on Sunday, according to Kyrgyz authorities. On its Facebook page, the Tajik foreign ministry also reported 25 injured and said civilians were among the victims.
