Staff from the store in Livingston rushed to help Beth
A deafblind woman was left overwhelmed when Sainsbury’s staff offered to pay for her shopping when she forgot her bank card.
Beth, from West Lothian, also talks into a specially designed iPad - but does still struggle with sight loss and relies on the help when visiting the shops.A manager at the store rushed over and insisted that Beth collect her groceries then go to the customer services desk and ask for her. “She asked how much I intended to spend, I explained it might be a lot as I’d had family staying. She smiled and said “Look, go get your shopping. When you’ve finished go to the checkout and ask them to put a call out for me. I’ll pay for you and you can pay me back next time you’re in the store.
