It seems the secret multiplayer game that the makers of Day Gone are working on is part of Sony’s plan to make new live service titles.
This is not happening It’s now over two years since Sony first threatened to release at least 10 first party live service games by 2026 and they still haven’t launched a single one . At one point Sony had most, if not all, of their internal studios working on live service games, until Naughty Dog rebelled and cancelled The Last Of Us Online. Whether Days Gone developer Bend Studio is working on one hasn’t been clear up till now but a new job listing seems to make it pretty clear that they are.
