Scotland regular David Marshall announces his retirement from international football
Scotland international David Marshall has announced his shock decision to retire from international football.
While admitting that it was a difficult decision, Marshall admits that the prospect of allowing Scotland’s up-and-coming goalkeepers to shine on the international stage was behind his decision. “I have memories of playing for Scotland that will last a lifetime but I also know what it is like as a young goalkeeper to have the opportunity.
