Paul Pelosi’s attacker David DePape told cops he went to fight “tyranny”— and compared himself to a “Founding Father” in a bonkers police interview released Friday.
San Francisco Police Officer Kyle Cagney and his partner arrived at the Pelosi residence for a wellness check at around 2:20 a.m. on Oct. 28, 2022 and found Paul Pelosi and David DePape holding a hammer.Cagney’s partner can be heard ordering the men to “drop the hammer” — to which DePape responds, “Um, nope.”Superior Court of California
He said he broke into the Pelosi residence by slamming through a lower-level glass door to tie up Nancy Pelosi, hold her “hostage” and force her to “tell the truth” about President Joe Biden’s “stolen election” — but that her husband was never part of the plot.
