Inter Miami founder David Beckham celebrated with his wife yesterday evening as he proudly watched his team defeat Nashville in a penalty shootout and take home the Leagues Cup trophy.
Inter Miami founder David Beckham proudly cheered in delight with his wife Victoria after his team won their first ever trophy, thanks to another outstanding Lionel Messi performance. The Beckhams were at a loss for words as they celebrated on the field at Geodis Park, while the football legend lifted the trophy alongside team-mate Jordi Alba.
It was a defining moment in football too, not just North America, as it saw Messi become the most decorated player in history as he received his 44th career trophy. The final against Nashville SC was Messi's toughest test since moving Stateside, with Inter second best for much of the match. Beckham said: "Leo's still going to need time no matter how good he is, no matter what his stature is, he and Sergio are going to need time to adapt. They might surprise us, we might start winning every single game, but we have to be patient."
