In a stunning battle against the Scourge, Darth Vader showcases how he'd fight using Force Lightning if he was able to wield it in Star Wars lore. As the villainous machine consciousness spreads across the galaxy, it has rapidly become a threat to every major faction, including the Empire, and has come to see the Sith cyborg as its ultimate quarry.

Recently, the Force was thrown into imbalance by the opening of the Fermata Cage - an ancient Sith time prison which also unleashed a viral machine consciousness.
Darth Vader's Cyborg Body Means He Can't Use Force Lightning Despite his inability to wield lightning through his own body, Darth Vader uses the technologically-generated electricity expertly, using it to control and take down the droid army, while dividing their immediate force with a Zaly-shield blast.
Darth Vader's Use of Lightning Is More Aggressive Than Palpatine's In contrast, Darth Vader is far more tactical. Rather than just pouring wrath onto his enemies, Vader fights smart, using the lightning to separate the army that opposes him and then pick them off with the greater power of the Zaly shield. Vader's use of the electrostaff is almost defensive - keeping enemies at bay and divided, with blasts of the Force to put them down for good.
Sadly for Vader, the Scourge's influence is everywhere, and the droids that have been turned against him are just the beginning. The Scourge's endgame is to use Vader as a bridge between robotic and biological life, accessing the Force through his cyborg upgrades. Darth Vader will need a lot more than counterfeit Force Lightning to stop that from happening as Star Wars' huge Dark Droids conflict continues.
