Fassbender and McAvoy have inadvertently starred in Cherik fan art and fan fiction for years, but in the latest and perhaps last X-Men movie"Dark Phoenix," the so-called"old friends" get to have an onscreen conclusion that should please fans . Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men who became the closest of friends. Here they enjoy a game of chess – the first of many they would play over their long and evolving history in a scene from the motion picture "X-Men: First Class.
The bond between the two men with drastically different political approaches is, as Fassbender puts it,"complicated."
