Nicholas Moseby, 41, was arrested on suspicion of three felonies and is being held in lieu of $200,000 bail.
DANVILLE — A 41-year-old man who works as a cheerleading coach and middle school teacher has been arrested on suspicion of molesting a teen student and sending her an obscene video, according to court records.
During an interview, the girl told police Moseby inappropriately touched her during a workout, according to court records. Police say that Moseby has a prior arrest for allegedly furnishing alcohol to a minor in Arizona, which should have disqualified him from becoming a teacher, except that it failed to show up in a background check. Investigators say Moseby wasn’t fingerprinted after the 2009 arrest, which led to the incident not appearing when school officials ran Moseby’s fingerprints after he applied for a job.
