Walker and his band were in New York on Monday when the positive test result was received, said Jeff Ryan, manager of artist relations at State Fair Records.“When you look back at it, you think ‘what a bummer’, unfortunately,” Ryan said. “But it’s the prudent thing to do.”“Playing Fallon is a potential game-changer,” Ryan said. “But I don’t think it’s a question of if [Walker will be rescheduled], but when.
Walker tested positive for COVID-19 last month and had to cancel performances with Charley Crockett in Austin and a New Year’s Eve show in Tulsa, Okla., with William Clark Green. “I’m really disappointed I can’t play these shows and will hopefully see everyone back out there in 2022,” Walker wrote on social media..
