Update: The DFR response to the Lakeland Hills Senior Living Facility fire has been upgraded to four-alarms. Two firefighters have been hospitalized with undisclosed injuries.
On April 7 at about 6:33 p.m., units were assigned to a 911 call for an automatic fire alarm at the Lakeland Hills Senior Living Facility at 3305 Dilido Road in Northeast Dallas.
When the arrived, crews reported seeing smoke coming from the second story of the three-story building. The response was upgraded to a structure fire, then a two-alarm fire. The call was upgraded a three-alarm response because of a MAYDAY call, but the MAYDAY call was cancelled in less than a minute.
