Dallas County District Attorney John Creuzot said he will not prosecute families whose children receive gender-affirming care, pitting himself against Gov....
chimed in Wednesday, calling it dangerous for the state leaders to label such medical care abuse.
“Conservative officials in Texas and other states across the country should stop inserting themselves into health care decisions that create needless tension between pediatricians and their patients,” White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre said. “No parent should face the agony of a politician standing in the way of accessing life-saving care for their child.”
Few prosecuting attorneys or state agencies have yet to publicly weigh in. Creuzot and the other DAs who authored the statement insinuated that Abbott and Paxton were launching a politically motivated attack.
