reopened its West Village store Thursday after being closed for two months for remodeling as it readies to open three new stores in Texas.
While the company started out a decade ago making dress shirts in two-way stretch, moisture-wicking fabric,Mizzen+Main is also stepping up efforts to expand its golf apparel business from sponsoring caddies and golfers on the PGA Tour, to securing a place in May under the merchandise tent at the AT&T Byron Nelson. The renovated Dallas store is the first to sell a white golf cap embroidered with “out of office” that retails for $42.
“We want guys to try on our shirts and not feel rushed, and now we have more space to highlight all the assortment,” Kent said. The dress shirt brand added polo shirts four years ago and is now putting a bigger focus on those casual shirts because, he said, “our moisture-wicking fabric is perfect for being out on a golf course.”
