Gonzalez wasn’t just instrumental in the Coyotes’ three wins last week, including two victories over Foothill League foe Saugus, his performance will forever be part of school history.
The senior went a combined 7-for-11 batting with 12 RBI in Castaic’s three wins – but more importantly – the wins secured Castaic its first playoff berth in program history under coach Darrell Davis.Castaic High clinched the program’s first playoff berth with a 6-2 win over Saugus today. Kudos to coach Darrell Davis for getting the Coyotes to the postseason out of a tough Foothill League in just their second year of varsity-level baseball.
