Blackburn dad's horrific struggle as cost of living crisis shuts all three beloved doughnut shops
A Blackburn businessman has opened up on how the forced closure of his donut shops due to the cost of living crisis has led him to suicidal thoughts, with all three Lancashire stores set to cease trading come the new year.
"This is despite the cost of everything, the cost of all the ingredients going up, but we couldn't raise our prices. It just got to the point that it was costing a lot of money to keep going and paying staff wages too, we weren't making any profit." "I'd get home and be stressed and barely sleep and I was into the gym before, but I had no time for it and I had no life really. My mate took me on holiday to give me a break, because I'll be honest, I've had some dark thoughts.
